  9. Safety & Materials Handling Quarantining Materials • A 3 day quarantine is required for items placed in RAILS delivery. This requirement is based on current information and will be in place until further information is received. • Clarification: the 3 day rule applies to the period after a patron has touched an item. If it is coming from a “clean zone” it does not need quarantine (pulled off shelf by library staff after 3 months, etc). • It is up to the library to determine quarantine coming IN from delivery. • Do NOT use RAILS Delivery bins to quarantine materials! • Check-in: Backdate and use fine free circulation login.
