ArlDems Process for Adopting a Position November ballot will include a constitutional amendment on ● redistricting reform Arlington Dems typically (but not always) takes a position on ● constitutional amendments and other ballot measures for purposes of preparing the Democratic sample ballot To determine the Arlington Dems’ position on the redistricting ● reform constitutional amendment (if any), we will vote TONIGHT ArlDems provided one month’s public notice of the vote ○ and hosted three educational events on this issue Steering Committee’s recommendation is as follows: ● Should the Arlington Dems take a position on the proposed ○ Amendment? Yes (70.8% of Steering vote) If the Arlington Dems take a position on the proposed ○ Amendment, which position should Arlington Dems take? Oppose (79% of Steering vote)
