Feed Adviser Register Meeting - Scotland 15 th JULY 2013
Stephen Kenyon, AIC Scotland Feed Sector Chairman
David Caffall, Chief Executive
AIC invests much of IT’S TIME and YOUR MONEY in fighting measures that would otherwise add to Members’ cost burden and are bureaucratic
FAR will ….. • Add to your costs • Require some administrative time but significantly add value
AIC therefore believes that this is the right way to proceed
Our objective for this morning...? Develop firstly your understanding of, and then enthusiasm for a sensible and pragmatic initiative
is ….. • Taking leadership and showing professionalism • A positive response to a developing need • A low cost initiative
is also ….. a scheme for the entire livestock sector which: - • Reinforces credibility with Government(s) – and consumers • Enables the livestock industry to escape taxes and restrictions
?
Let me conclude with 4 key points ...
1 We believe passionately that FAR is in the best interests of our Feed Sector Member Companies – Small, Medium and Large
2 This has been delivered • At lowest possible cost • Minimum admin • Yet credible and robust • Adds value to the sector
3 If we hadn’t done this – others would. And we would all be forced to dance to their tune .
4 FAR was conceived BY the industry, FOR the industry
HIGH Complexity FAR Government’s expectations LOW
