Goals of the Sea Level Rise Ad Hoc Committee: 1. Review results of the Port’s sea level rise vulnerability assessment 2. Receive feedback on a sea level rise adaptation approach 3. Help to inform options for a monitoring strategy 3 3

Sea Level Rise Approach 5
Strengths • Cyclical approach which allows us to proactively plan for Sea Level Rise and evaluate performance • Creates a venue for regional Sea Level Rise discussion with key stakeholders • Selected COSMOS and determined which Sea Level Rise scenarios are appropriate for adaptation planning 6
Areas of Improvement • Expand adaptation planning cycle to include coordination with other agencies and utilities • Recognize opportunities for cost share with private and public sectors • Associate relevant strategies to specific assets • Provide more specificity of how monitoring will trigger actions 7
Actions • Make recommendation to EAC to continue Ad Hoc into 2019 as a venue to discuss regional sea level rise planning • Ensure internal consistency on the Sea Level Rise planning process • Coordinate with Coastguard • Discuss framework with Tenants • Run through scenarios as a group 8
