• It distributes the weight of the bag’s contents. • The bag’s base and top should be between the lumbar and the shoulder. • Compartments and dividers will keep books upright to stabilise bag’s overall gravity. • A waist-belt will prevent bag from swinging , hence distributing load evenly. * Ergonomic bags weigh a bit more, ranging between 700 g to a kilogramme
LIGHTENING STUDENTS’ SCHOOL BAGS What Parents can do: Choice of School Bags • Select bags of lightweight material with few compartments, and straps that are adjustable and cushioned • Encourage children to carry personal items in a separate bag to distribute load

LIGHTENING STUDENTS’ SCHOOL BAGS Advise your child to: • Pack according to the timetable • Check that only relevant materials are brought (e.g. Workbook A or B, not both) • Avoid bringing unnecessary items to school • Use smaller water bottles / water-coolers in school (unless otherwise for health-related issues)
SNAC – Smart Notification Acknowledgement Console • Elias Park Primary School is introducing SNAC. • This will enhance the communication between school and parents. • The installation instruction guides will be given to you by the Form Teacher. • The vendor has set up a booth in the canteen to assist you on your queries.
