NDFA Overview NDFA • State’s Financial Adviser for public investment projects since 2003 • Delivery authority for Public Private Partnership (PPP) building projects since 2007. Past PPP Projects delivered 9 major inter-urban motorways/by-passes • 5 education PPPs including 15 schools built + 8 under construction • International Convention Centre • • Courts of Criminal Justice Future Projects - Government Stimulus Package and PPP Programme: Phase 1 • Education – 12 new schools; and the Grangegorman DIT PPP project • Health – up to 20 Primary Care Centres Justice – 3 Divisional Garda HQ’s • - 7 Courthouses Transport – 2 new road procurements •

Programme Overview 12 March 2012 – Ministerial announcement of € 2bn investment in schools over the next 5 years. Traditional Funding source, i.e. Exchequer funded. Programme includes replacement schools, school extensions and alterations to existing schools. Programme delivery to be supported by VEC’s, NDFA, OPW and Local Authorities in addition to local schools and Department. NDFA engaged to support the delivery of 17 schools.
Programme Overview Projects have been allocated into 3 Bundles - Generally split by Geography - Flexibility to deliver one off schools NDFA have appointed 3 Design Teams - Design and Build contracting strategy - NDFA have submitted Planning Permissions incl. DAC and FSC. D&B Framework established of 5 Contractors - ABM / Clancy Construction JV - J.J Rhatigan & Co - Sammon Contracting Ireland Ltd - JSL (Stewarts) / Tracey Brothers JV - Western Building Systems Call off contracts will be awarded from this framework. - Bundle 1 & Bundle 2 have been issued for tender. Sept / Oct returns. - Bundle 3 to be issued in August for Nov return.
