Why a makerspace?
Westborough Public Library Mission Statement The Westborough Public Library is dedicated to the promotion of lifelong learning, personal and professional enrichment, and a love of reading. The Board of Trustees and the library staff strive to ensure free, equal, and confidential access to all collections and informational services, to maintain the library building, and to anticipate and prepare for future library service needs in the Westborough community. Westborough Public Library Vision Statement The Westborough Public Library is a comfortable and welcoming place where people of all ages and cultures come together, in person or online, to experience the joy of reading, express their creativity, satisfy their curiosity, and create and share content. The library is the hub of the community, and sustains itself through excellent customer service, careful stewardship of financial and physical resources, and attention to evolving needs of the community.
Westborough TV Mission Statement WTV serves the community of Westborough through creation of broadcast media programming that is by, about and for the Westborough community.
We BOTH expand our services with • New technology • Programs • Staff
Our Common Goals Are To: • Celebrate cultural awareness and diversity • Create connections between generations • Share creative content • Collaborate with schools and community organizations • Support local businesses and downtown connections • Be a part of town traditions and town-wide events • Utilize our physical space as efficiently as possible
Pay it forward • Opportunities for growth and collaborative learning throughout the community • Citizens will be encouraged to become creators of knowledge, not simply consumers • They will be able to share this knowledge with others, thus improving the community as a whole
