Research (previous and ongoing): • Study of the genes involved in responses to phytohormones and cross talk in Arabidopsis by analyzing publicly available microarray data (ongoing) Published results: Effect of gibberellin cross talk with other phytohormones on cellular growth and mitosis to endoreduplication transition in Arabidopsis http://www.ijarbs.com/pdfcopy/sept2014/ijarbs21.pdf • Creation and analysis of protein interaction networks and gene regulatory networks on subsets of genes involved in specific biological functions in Arabidopsis (e.g. reproductive development) Published results: http://bsl.asm.md/article/id/33209 (Romanian version only) Knowledge of: R programming language (and a series of Bioconductor packages), Python programming language A series of tools and databases for creating and analyzing various networks, for identifying protein motifs, gene regulatory motifs (e.g. Cytoscape + extensions, databases), tools for visualizing big data (Circos) etc.
