  2. Background • Longstanding practice of CDPH approving LHD budgeted amounts • Allocations exceeded CDPH appropriation • MCAH programs asked to scale down budgets • CDPH moving to two-year allocations based on spending

  3. The CHEAC Role • CHEAC leadership participation in funding discussions and decision-making. • Distribution of meeting recap and pertinent updates to CHEAC membership and MCAH leadership. • Encourage sharing of CDPH MCAH emails to CHEAC for distribution to LHD Directors.

LHD Leadership Calls • CHEAC requested more regular communication with CDPH Executives on Title XIX • Recommended CDPH create a workgroup of CHEAC and CCLHO Leadership similar to our EPO leadership calls • Currently meets monthly; members of the CHEAC Officers and Executive Committee participation
