Insert Department Logo Here PRESS RELEASE Name of Department Street Address Τοων/ςιλλαγε , State and Zip Code Phone Fax FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DATE: Month, Day, Year SUBJECT: Residential (Other) Fire - Address CONTACT: Public Information Officer ___________ ________, (xxx) xxx-xxxx RELEASE: For Immediate Release (Town, State) On Day, Date, Year at XX:XX p.m. the _______________ Fire Department received a 9-1-1 call for a residential fire at (Street Address, Town, State and Zip Code). Upon the fire department’s arrival they encountered a tri-level family residence with an attached garage fully involved and heavy smoke and fire through the roof. Police reported that all occupants had been alerted by working smoke alarms and safely evacuated the home. An initial survey of the fire situation revealed that the fire was confined to the garage, but was spreading to the main structure. The fire broke through the eaves and spread into an attic space in the home. Firefighters set up lines to protect the interior of the house, while additional personnel were deployed to the front of the garage to extinguish the fire. A minor was transported to (Name of hospital) hospital for moderate burn injuries. No other injuries were reported. Property damage (if permission is obtained for release) is estimated at $100,000 and $25,000 for content damage. Due to structural concerns and smoke and fire damage, the family has not been able to return to their home. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
