COVID-19, Coronavirus Crisis § School Closed per MD State Superintendent Dr. Salmon until April 24, 2020 § Stay At Home Ordinance in place as of March 30 th § Distance Learning will commence April 14th and will begin Quarter 4 § Meals will continue to be distributed from 10 am -1 pm daily at Waldon Woods and other food sites around the county.
§ Chromebooks will be distributed on April 2, 2020 10am-1pm free to PGCPS students § Parents must have student ID or student report card to retrieve Chromebook § Parents must bring their own pen and be ready to sign the technology agreement form to receive device § Parents will not have to leave their cars § Families are responsible for devices, just like a textbook
§ Plan will begin on April 14 th § Copy of plan is available on PGCPS website § Platforms like Google Classroom and Class Dojo will be employed § Teachers will be available to support instruction daily until 9am to 1pm § Special education resource teachers, ESOL teachers, and paraprofessionals are also online to support instruction § Students will submit work via communicated platform § Quarter 4 grades will be pass or incomplete § If a student needs log on or password information please let the classroom teacher know
§ Students are to continue to submitting assignments through April 3 to teachers. § Grades will be calculated for work teachers are in possession, report cards will be mailed § Virtual Spirit Week will be moved to April 14 th , flyer posted on Class Dojo
