  6. What is the AGOSP not? 7 • The AGOSP is not compulsory. • The AGOSP is not a mechanism for data matching by agencies. • The AGOSP is not an online extension of the Access Card.

Why interoperability across government? 8 • Interoperability facilitates an audit trail. • It embraces business process and people – not just IT. • Interoperability is fundamental to the success of connected government – the aim for collaborative, effective and efficient government and the delivery of seamless government services.

ICT investment planning is essential! 9 • To reduce the risk of time and cost overruns. • To ensure the project is aligns with strategic outcomes – it needs to achieve it’s anticipated benefits. • To ensure accountability and transparency are built into any new systems from the ground up rather then being an add-on at the end of the project.
