In 2014 - 2015: MABE conducted: Caroline Superintendent Search Superintendent Search overview presentation in Wicomico County
In 2014 - 2015, Officers and Members: • Represented MABE at all meetings of the Maryland State Board of Education • Participated in leadership meetings with Governor – Elect Larry Hogan and other members of his Transition Team, various leaders of the Maryland General Assembly, the Maryland State Education Association, and the Maryland Association of Counties
• Established/enhanced partnerships with numerous associations in the Maryland education community • Participated in the National School Boards Association Advocacy Institute, represented the Maryland Association at the NSBA Annual Conference, Leadership Conference and the Northeast Region Meeting • Formed two Ad Hoc advisory committees both to inform MABE’s representatives on statewide groups and to ensure local board members are knowledgeable about critical education issues
• Participated in press conferences for education funding with the state legislative leaders, Maryland State Educators Association, and numerous education advocates • Continued implementing a technology initiative to more effectively manage MABE’s infrastructure • Testified on proposed legislation that would affect school systems and public education in the State of Maryland
