Governmental Relations Services: • Lobbying representation • Member Alerts and Call-to-Action communications • Written and oral testimony • Annual primer on MABE’s legislative process • Legislative Toolkit presentations • Talking points and sample letters to the editor • Issue and advocacy presentations in local districts • Online access to testimony, meeting materials, and advocacy resources • Publications: the Monitor , the GreenSheet, and Legislative Positions

In 2012 - 2013:  Monitored more than 350 bills  Provided testimony on more than 75 bills  Coordinated lobbying efforts with stakeholders  Hosted Legislative Day  Provided the Monitor , legislative updates & alerts  Succeeded in bills regarding collective bargaining, special education, charter schools, and school safety
