Columbine High School on April 20th Killing 13 • The Millennium Dome opens in London • The famous Toyota Hilux Bugger TV Commercial goes to air on New Zealand television for the very first time

And the first Low Volume Roads Workshop 2019 • Held right here at the Ascot Hotel – and the main reason we are back again 20 years later • Organised by Southland District, who with a large network of over 5000km of road realised the importance of low volume roads. • Apart from Janice was anyone else here at the first workshop?

  5. 2001 - Rotorua 2019 • A local committee including Opus, Rotorua District and others • At the end of the workshop it was stated just how much work it had been to organise – Looking for volunteers to run again in 2003 • Ian Stenberg from Beca and REAAA stood up and offered to take responsibility for the event under the REAAA umbrella and we are still there today • The reason for our ongoing success – engaging professional organisors!!!
