PPM & Right-Time Performance We will transform our railway, connecting communities across London
Focus on LOROL Causes • Highly punitive performance regime • Regime based on ‘deemed’ minutes • Each deemed minute has a financial value • Every minute better than benchmark is income for LOROL • But we also need to manage our suppliers • Concession also has strong focus on passenger experience We will transform our railway, connecting communities across London
PPM Improvements • PPM annual average up from 91.06% at start of Concession to 96.50% currently • Some reductions in causes of PPM failures are (not normalised for no. trains): – Passengers loading / unloading (87% reduction) – Anti-social behaviour / vandalism on trains / stations (81%) • Concession Agreement contains PPM targets – penalties for not meeting them We will transform our railway, connecting communities across London
Network Rail Relationship • Joint Performance Improvement Process / Plan (JPIP) • Regular dialogue with NR – JPR, JEG • NR come to us – different routes in one room • Collaborative approach to train running – Running fast for freights, running anti-icing trains We will transform our railway, connecting communities across London
Key Initiatives • Major infrastructure upgrades • Manning all stations – secure station status • 3-car to 4-car conversion & timetable review • Autumn prep – new fleet & driver briefing • Winter – anti-icing capability on 378 fleet • Review of Network Rail resource locations • Improvements to fleet and infrastructure We will transform our railway, connecting communities across London
Other Processes • Daily conference complete close-out of issues / actions – or escalate to IPM • Forward Review • Contingency plans • Majority of train crew trained in key diversionary routes • Always looking to adopt good practice from elsewhere / challenge the norm We will transform our railway, connecting communities across London
