What to expect: • February 28: 2019-2020 Curriculum Guide is emailed to you through Naviance and posted on Suncoast’s website. ➢ Refer to your program’s 4 year plan ➢ Find out more about classes through teachers and friends ➢ Have a conversation with your parents ➢ Ask your counselor questions • March 7 & 8: Come with your PE/PF class to meet individually with your counselor. At the end of this meeting, your counselor will print your course selection and you will bring it home to get signed by a parent before returning it. • March 11 & 12: Your signed course selection sheet is due back to your PE teacher.
What do you need to decide as an incoming 10 th grade IB student? ➢ Appropriate Math course ➢ If you want to take IB Physics junior & senior year, you must take AP Physics in 10 th grade. ➢ Appropriate World Language course ➢ 2 Electives
What do you need to decide as an incoming 10 th grade CS student? ➢ AP or AICE English ➢ Appropriate Math course ➢ Appropriate World Language course ➢ 1 AP or Fine Arts Elective

MSE freshmen have the option to add the CS program beginning their sophomore year. This commitment includes the following CS classes: • AP Computer Science A • IB Computer Studies 1 • Java Database Programming • IB Computer Studies 3
What will you find in the Curriculum Guide? • Courses we offer are grouped by category • A short description of the course • A link to the course to find out more • Whether it is yearlong or a semester course • If it requires pre-requisites • If it requires participation outside of school
