Overall aim of workshops – to increase your confidence in English pronunciation so you can take part in subject discussions and verbal assignments. Outcomes • You can describe the importance of word stress, sentence stress and speech intonation to making meaning in English. • You can explain the sounds that make up English to continue improving your own pronunciation. • Hear English pronunciation modelled by experienced speakers. • Receive feedback on your pronunciation to identify areas for you to improve.
