Generating Ideas In pairs, devise a short scene about social networking and making friends, presenting both viewpoints. Person A will be the young person with a positive viewpoint. You will argue in favour of social networking sites and online chat forums, etc. How might you persuade a parent to let you use them? Person B will be the parent with a negative viewpoint. You will present your reasons for not wanting your child to socialise online. Plan your scene carefully and try to include some PEARFOREST devices in your dialogue. Rehearse and be prepared to present your scene to the class.
Role Play Share some of the scenes and, as they are presented, list the arguments made for and against social networks. Try to pick out the most appropriate points. For Agains nst
