LEGISLATIVE POLICY POSITION STATEMENT CLICK TO EDIT MASTER TITLE STYLE Purpose of the Document • Guide staff as they work with legislators during fast-paced legislative session • Focus policy priorities of the District and determine the breadth of policy areas to pursue • Provides succinct vehicle for input to legislators and staff prior to and during session as they are crafting and working legislation • Common understanding and agreement between Board, staff and legislative consultants • Member Cities that have similar documents 8
