Le Chateau du Broutel Each dorm accommodates up to 8 people and is en suite. Though we won’t be spending much time in the dorms – we’ll be too busy. The children have chosen friends that they are happy to share with. They will be allocated when we arrive. 3
Food Lots of it. Delicious. Lots of choice. No- one goes hungry. 4

Activities • Rue tour We will also be going on 3 trips into the local towns and villages. • Local market We keep the same coach • Trip to the beach and driver throughout the week. • French supermarket and café The children have loved these trips in the past so we will be spending more time out and about this year. 12

Groups & Rooms • The pupils will be working in 4 activity groups. • Rooms are for sleeping in. Time spent in room is minimal. Boys/girls cannot mix in same-sex rooms. Regular room inspections • Common rooms for all to congregate. • We will give the children their group lists when we arrive. 16
Medication • Pupils with asthma must bring 2 inhalers. – One will be kept by staff. – One will be carried by the pupil at all times. • Calpol forms. • All medications must be labelled clearly with the child’s name and the dose to be administered. • On the Monday morning, all medication must be given to Miss McCreesh or Mrs Appleby with appropriate paperwork. Please try to bring them in earlier than this if possible! 17
Emotions • You’ll be reassured by the regular blog posts • You can comment on the blog but we won’t show the comments to your child. No contact is better for them – they’re much more able to cope. • Say goodbye at home on the Monday. We’d strongly advise dropping them in the Infant hall and leaving once bags are on coach. 18

Phone Tree France Branch 1 Branch 2 Branch 3 Important messages (e.g. arrivals and departures) will be passed to parents using a phone tree. We will send messages to the 3 people at the head of the tree. Each person then passes the message to the next person on the list. If you would like to be part of the phone tree, please add your name to the sheet at the back of the room before you leave. 20
