  5. Aims of the project • To develop a consenting regime for any future developments within Manx waters • To develop a Marine Spatial Plan to consider current and future uses of Manx waters • To help identify suitable areas for development by locating current activities/constraints

Proposed consenting process Separate legislative process to the UK, but the content will be familiar: • Extension of the Town and Country Planning Act via ‘Territorial ¡Sea’ ¡Regulations • A ¡new ¡‘Marine ¡Development ¡Procedure’ ¡Order – Applications will be determined via the recommendation of an appointed inspector to the Council of Ministers. • EIA (Isle of Man) Regulations • Marine Development (Fees for Application) Order
