  2. EUROPEAN STANDARDS FOR TOY SAFETY For parents and official inspectjons, toy safety is a priority. In 2018, market regulators checked out toys in 8 regions of Poland. The security of one in three products was challenged (30.7%). Our responsibility is to ensure the safety of the youngest. Who is really responsible for the quality of the final product, though? In accordance with the requirements of the EU legislatjon, the manufacturer is responsible for meetjng all the requirements for each toy, confirming compliance with the CE sign. What if this product is delivered from China or another country outside of the EU? In the event that neither the manufacturer nor its authorized representatjve has headquarters in the EU, this obligatjon remains with the person who introduces the toy to the EU market.

  3. With numerous product classificatjons, as well as with the large number of existjng standards or directjves, it is difficult to reliably identjfy the range of potentjal threats and requirements for a given product and adapt them to the child's age. However, such measures are necessary to minimize the level of dangerous risks which the toy could cause and prevent the possibility of product withdrawal from the market. Experts at J. S. Hamilton Poland specialise in toy safety tests, including mechanical and chemical analyses. In accordance with our accreditatjon number AB 079, within our services we guarantee comprehensive consultancy and research in toy safety in compliance with the norm requirements harmonised with Directjve 2009/48/EC (Toys Safety Directjve), Regulatjon 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council (EC) concerning registratjon, assessment, authorizatjon and restrictjons on chemicals (REACH) or other chemical safety principles.
