Meet Joburg’s number one production team! Nicci and Seamus as a team are a lot of fun to work with, they are also calm under pressure and run a tight ship. They have a great relationship with all the crew, as well as suppliers, and as they go the extra mile so do their crew. Super adaptable, Seamus, even dons his 2nd AD cap when the job decides it’s needed and he’s become a firm favorite with Nick Lorentz, which is quite a kudo! And, it’s not just us saying this… I n the last year Plank Films have produced Chicken Licken, BioPlus, Iwyze, MTN, Castle Free, Cadbury’s and Hunter’s Dry with our dream team: Nicci Buys and Seamus Bax. Amongst all the madness they also managed to squeeze in Nissan with Carbon Films! … and this is Izzy. Izzy, a brilliant stylist, is a firm favorite with Plank amongst a whole host of other companies both service and local. It is her fantastically versatile space that was used on every production mentioned above as base camp… The next slides will tell you what you need to know!
Our space, a secure house in Johannesburg’s trendiest neighborhood, is located at number 12, 2nd Avenue, Parkhurst. This is a prime location super close to Johannesburg’s most popular hoods -Parkhurst’s 4th Avenue, Parktown North, Rosebank, Sandton and downtown Joburg. Additionally, Joburg’s film industry also tends to revolve around this Northern suburb, especially during pre and post production, making this the perfect base camp for everybody. Although primarily a wardrobe space, it has Wi-Fi, and several rooms that can be used by different departments making it truly versatile…

It doesn’t matter if you need to lock yourself up all day. This space has got you covered! Coffee, fridge and micro, otherwise, a million eateries in a 2km radius, or UBER eats if it’s one of ‘those’ days.
The shady garden has table and chairs for a quick cigarette break, meetings or just a breath of fresh air. …and last but not least, the groovy bathroom…
