Pro rogre ress • The cofferdam is complete • Surcharge blocks have been moved from East side to west side of cofferdam • Cofferdam Hoarding works will commence in the period • Soil mixing works is progressing and is 33% complete and on program • Drilling for grout block installation commenced on the 9th April • Extraction of sheet piles associated with NESR (north eastern storm relief) works is planned to start 6th May – estimate 2 weeks work • Archaeological excavation is due to start end of May 15

KEMP MPF – Non Ma Mater erial Am l Amen endment to to th the e Develo elopment C Consent Or Order er (DCO) O) • Additional ground improvement works mean that construction at the site will take longer than anticipated To minimise the additional construction duration, Tideway propose to submit a Non • Material Amendment (NMA) to the DCO for a change to the main tunnel alignment • If approved, this will mean the main tunnel will be constructed approximately 15m further southeast than the alignment approved under the DCO • The realignment will mean the tunnel will not pass directly through the KEMPF drop shaft, but will instead pass to the east of the shaft. A new connection tunnel (approx 15m in length) will then connect the drop shaft to the main tunnel This will enable the drop shaft and main tunnel to be built at the same time and will • minimise the additional construction duration at KEMPF All changes will be approx 60m below ground • • This NMA will not change the size or location of the shaft or any above ground features 27
