KOC Overview Total student capacity and current enrollment • - 65 spaces and enrollees are 62. Some spaces are held to accommodate children who age out of a lower age room. Current class sizes • – Shark 17 – Dolphin 16 – Turtle 13 – Otter/Starfish (or Toddler Room) 16 Babies now leave at 18 months instead of two years • Waiting list size • - 68 parents on wait list of which 59 are faculty/staff. Total operating cost • - $1,002,900 University Funding Contribution • - $291,000 and facility lease

Current KOC Enrollment Priority • 1. Current families who have been part of the KOC community for at least three months. a. Alumni sibling priority begins at 2 years of age • 2. Children of full-time faculty and staff • 3. Children of part-time faculty and staff • 4. Children of full-time students • 5. Children of part-time students • 6. Grandchildren of faculty and staff • 7. Children of Alumni (Not eligible for the Infant-Toddler Program)

KOC Recommendation Approved by Presidents Cabinet • Limit future tuition increases to a maximum of 5% and continue University funding at present level with a yearly increase matching the increase in the tuition rate. • Limit participation for Starfish, Otter and Turtle rooms to SCU staff and faculty. Dolphin and Shark room would be available to alumni, students and grandparents if room capacity was not met. Alumni, students and grandparents would not have eligibility for sibling participation.

KOC Recommendation Approved by Presidents Cabinet • Maintain present facility. If future demand continues to increase, the expansion project would be submitted as a part of the Facility Master Plan and fundraising plan. • Implement a part-time premium of 20% for 2 and 3 days per week use in Fall 2016. • Consider sibling discount, a sliding scale tuition discount and vouchers at later date.
