Regional Youth Forensic Service – brief overview
A specialist service providing mental health assessments to the Youth Justice system, including the Youth Courts in Auckland. Youth age 13-18 years. Includes: provision of s333 and s38 fitness reports; consultation to Family Group Conferences: Consultation with legal professionals and families/Whanau; Liaison with other Child and Adolescent mental health services. Allied Taiohi Tu Taiohi Ora (TTTO) team provides mental health treatment to Korowai Manaaki Youth Justice Residence and until recently Whakatakapokai Care and Protection Residence. Multi-disciplinary-team includes: Nurses, Social workers, Cultural advisors, psychologists and psychiatrists .
