INTRODUCTION KAPTIC mission statement  To promote business, trade and capital flows between Kazakhstan and the Asia-Pacific, enhance economic development and cross-border cooperation, and serve as a catalyst for creation of close business ties and improvement of overall quality of life in these regions; thus becoming a bridge between those two regions.  To pursue excellence and economic growth in Kazakhstan and the Asia-Pacific through strong leadership and community partnerships, by acting as a platform for an innovative business environment, and enhancing the vitality of the communities served.  To enhance and promote transparency of business dealings in the private sector of Kazakhstan, thus building trust towards the economy and credibility of the country as a whole; improve the liquidity in the capital markets by enabling investment.  By being the voice of business, to communicate the view of the business community on major issues of public policy.  To champion good corporate governance practices and protection of investor and stakeholder interests.  To serve, represent, and enhance business growth and success in Kazakhstan and countries in Asia Pacific, strengthen member businesses, and stimulate cross-border prosperity.  To be a catalyst for economic growth for the Company’s members and the community.

INTRODUCTION KAPTIC mission statement  To form and nurture a highly respected forum on an organised, continuing basis in which businesses and business people in Kazakhstan and Asia-Pacific can discuss and identify common economic and commercial interests.  To initiate projects or events as necessary to promote and raise the profile of businesses in Asia-Pacific, Central Asia, and the Eurasia Economic Union (EAEU).  To provide services and resources to support the interests, well-being and development of the members.  To represent and care for the interests of the members.  To promote business relations amongst the members as well as with other businesses and business associations.  To serve as a voice to represent the collective interests of its members and to provide feedback to the public, companies or organisations, and to other agencies (including the authorities, government ministries and statutory boards).  To complement, collaborate, and cooperate with activities of existing professional groups in Asia-Pacific and the region on matters relating to the commercial and economic activities of its members.  To promote both Kazakhstan and Singapore as gateways to Central Asia, Eurasia Economic Union, and Asia-Pacific, to foreign businesses as trusted financial hubs with political and economic credibility, trust, and stability, with generous grants and incentives provided by the government for small-to-medium enterprises and start-ups.

MEMBERSHIP Who can become a member  All companies with business interests in Asia Pacific or EAEU can apply for a membership.  Honorary membership is extended to ambassadors, high commissioners and trade commissioners from many countries to benefit members with a truly international reach.  Premium Membership offers a suite of exclusive benefits to help spur your outreach to our member base and the wide business community of EAEU and APAC. It includes enhanced and sustained visibility across several of our most significant marketing channels. Opportunities will also be available for Premium Members to collaborate with us to develop thought-leadership content to be shared with fellow members. Complimentary event passes per year are included in this membership category, letting you and your colleagues enjoy additional opportunities to gain new knowledge, network and grow your business.

SERVICES  Business Conferences, Seminars and Workshops - KAPTIC organises these events regularly to help members network with one another, update themselves with the latest business news and opportunities, acquire good business management practices and understand the Government’s economic policies and measures better.  Trade/Industrial Fairs and Investment Talks - KAPTIC organises trade missions to take part in trade / industry fairs and investment talks in regional and international markets regularly. The KAPTIC also conducts trade / industrial fairs and investment talks periodically for members within Asia Pacific. Members are also frequently invited to meet with foreign delegations and participate in discussions on potential trade and investment ventures in Kazakhstan and abroad.  KAPTIC On-Line Directory for Members - The KAPTIC helps members to increase their business exposure and gain trade opportunities by listing them in its online membership directory.  Business Matching Facilities - The KAPTIC receives a wide range of trade and investment enquiries from foreign companies seeking suitable partners in Kazakhstan, Central Asia Region and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). These are evaluated and disseminated to members regularly through various channels  Representation of Members' Business Interests - Members may request the KAPTIC to make representations on their behalf on matters pertinent to doing business in Kazakhstan. Council members are represented on advisory committees of government bodies and statutory boards. The KAPTIC also participates in regular dialogues with all the relevant Ministries and government departments.  Trade Documentation  Legal support  Logistical support  Marketing support (promotion of members’ goods and services)  Translation - Translation is another value-added service that KAPTIC provides for its members who will enjoy concessionary rates. This service is also extended to non-member organisations and the public. Charges are based on the technicality and length of the text as well as the urgency for the translation to be completed.  Marketing Channels - Members could consider advertising with the KAPTIC  Conference and Business Facilities - KAPTIC facilities are available for rental at very special and affordable rates. With a centralised and convenient location in the city hub, the KAPTIC is an ideal place to hold business meetings, seminars and talks to meet business needs.

Council and Board The founding council is responsible for:  Vision and mission  Strategy  Key operational blocks and direction  Structure and by-laws  Election of Directors The BoD is responsible for:  The Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing or governing the affairs of the KAPTIC on behalf of its members. The board structure and the method for selection are specified in the Council’s by -laws.  Board of Directors is composed of business and community leaders. The Board of Directors provides policy, approval, and guidance to ensure that the interests of the members are served by the programs of the organization.
