Brochure refresh • With approval of South Georgian Bay Lake Simcoe (SGBLS) Source Protection Plan, there was an identified need to review and update or rebrand outreach and education materials • The deliverable was a project team-defined set of updated SWP brochures for use by municipalities and risk management officials 3

Background: Section 81 (RMO): • First report starts the day the RMO is hired and goes until December 31 that same year • Report must be submitted to the SPA by Feb. 1 the following year Section 46 (SPA): • The first report applies from when SPP takes effect and ends Dec. 31 2017 • First Annual Report is due to SPAs February 1, 2018 • First Annual Report to the MOECC May 1, 2018 for review and comment 10

Upcoming Key Annual Reporting Dates • Q1-2, 2017: SPAR database refined with all proposed questions • November, 2017: Release of the SPAR database to implementing bodies for data submission/reporting • February 1, 2018 – First Annual Report due to SPAs • February – April, 2018 – First Annual Report to the SPC for review and comment • May 1, 2018 – First Annual Report due to MOECC 21

Fuel storage at municipal drinking water systems • Letter sent to all municipal drinking water systems across the Province • Amendments to licence required if SDWT exists • Amendments to include same risk management measures as RMP • Exemption from RMP will be provided • Based on self assessment, only 12 SDWTs exist • Some RMOs in our Region had started developing RMPs 23
