IPCB Presentation on the ANP POI Accreditation through the ANP TGC Professional Development Board (PDB) UNCLASSIFIED
Program of Instruction (POI) Accreditation UNCLASSIFIED
Why Accreditation • NTM-A, EUPOL, GPPT, contracted agencies and numerous nations have provided training and support in developing a professional ANP. • However there was an overlap in course material and there was a need to conduct training analysis and provide what the ANP actually needed. These criteria were developed for the PDB to standardize training: – One Standard = Consistency – Only Approved POI’s Instructed – Develop Afghan Instructors – Synergy of Effort in Curriculum Development – ANP Determine Need UNCLASSIFIED 3
Memorandum of Collaboration: 5 May 2011 The MOI, NTM-A (ISAF), EUPOL and GPPT agreed that there needed to be a coordinated effort, led by the Afghans, to analise, coordinate and create one ANP catalogue of approved courses (POIs) through the ANP Training General Command (TGC): a. TGC Training Management System (TMS) commits to provide training solutions to fill ANP Operational Pillar defined needs. b. ANP Operational Pillars always retains ownership of the Pillar’s current and future operational needs (those Mission Critical Jobs and who performs them). UNCLASSIFIED 4
