International Banking Institute Bulgarian National Qualification Framework (NQF): • uses the same number of levels as of the Eropean Qualification Framework; • describes the expected learning outcomes using similar descriptors in terms of knowledge, skills and competences; • fits well with the specific features of the Bulgarian national educational system.
International Banking Institute Bulgarian National Qualification Framework consists of: • General Education part; • VET part; • Higher Education part.
International Banking Institute In the NQF: • VET levels are described by degrees of vocational qualification; • Higher education levels cover all the existing higher education degrees and qualifications, i.e. ‘Professional Bachelor’, Bachelor, Master and Doctor.
International Banking Institute • NQF is to support the validation of non-formal and informal learning; • No single predefined system of standards in relation to vocational training in the financial/banking sector; • Trainings provided by IBI are subject to the rules and recommendations imposed by BNB, ABB, HR departments of banks and other institutions involved in the qualification process.
International Banking Institute Education and training is provided by IBI via three channels: • Master Degree Program; • Courses conducted by CVET in IBI; • Short-term courses and seminars on key competences.

International Banking Institute IBI’s participation in Projects financed by European Structural Funds In the period 2009-2010 the Institute had a leading role in two major projects under the HR Development Programme of the EU, organizing and conducting Trainings for acquiring Professional Qualification and Trainings on Key Competences for the employees of two of the biggest commercial banks in Bulgaria.
