  25. THE ROLE OF THE P.A.T. Your first point of contact Our Personal Achievement Tutors: - look after students when they first arrive - monitor student progress throughout their time at college - are a student’s first point of contact for help/advice - are the first point of contact for parents. The PAT will support students in all aspects of college life including:  guidance in their studies  help with study skills  advice regarding career progression and application to university, apprenticeships, jobs  arranging any extra help or support needed whilst at Carmel.

  29. BALANCING WORK & STUDY 5 hours per subject per week  Students who work part time are to be praised for their proactivity.  We advise some caution though, so this doesn’t interfere with their studies.  Recommended limit of 8-12 hours per week.

  30. DISCIPLINARY PROCESS  Stage 1 - Initial warning  Stage 2 - Written warning  Stage 3 -Yellow contract  Stage 4 - Red contract – Senior tutor involved at this stage.  Stage 5 - Suspension  Stage 6 - Exclusion

Co-ordinators  Advice and guidance for those applying:  to prestigious universities (inc Oxford & Cambridge)  for courses such as Medicine, Dentistry, Vet Medicine and other highly competitive degrees  Additional activities and events eg. workshops, admission test preparation, mock interviews etc

  32. ENRICHMENT PROGRAMME A range of opportunities for all students Over 30 activities to choose from:  to complement studies  to help keep fit and healthy  to learn a new skill  to gain a qualification  to develop employability skills  to meet people and make new friends  to have fun!
