Review: What is a Master Plan?
• A long-term plan for how the community wants to grow and develop in the future
• Outlines a community’s vision for the future • Describes concrete action steps to help achieve the vision • It is a framework for future City actions • A tool for pursuing project funding opportunities

Community Vision Current - Policy Implementation Final Plan Conditions Community Development Plan Survey (Completed) The complete Master Plan will be delivered and presented to City Council at an Town Hall meeting to begin the adoption process scheduled for: April 3, 2017 at 7:30 pm in the Dwyer Senior Center
Community Vision Current - Policy Implementation Final Plan Conditions Community Development Plan Survey (Completed) Once the Master Plan is complete it will have to go through the Planning Commission and City Council to be adopted as City Policy Actions requiring legislation will still need to go through standard procedures for City Council to become law.

Public Meeting #2 • Approximately 30 attendees • Over 60 written comments • Received input on maps • Discussion with attendees
Takeaways • Clarification of Actions – Several actions were already being pursued or suggested programs already existed in some form. – Identified the need to update or advocate for these issues • Improvement Target Areas – Valid data layer used to develop actions
Takeaways • Connectivity Issues – Identified specific intersections and areas for enhanced traffic and safety infrastructure • Infrastructure – Action on stormwater issues – Improve roads, curbs, sidewalks, parking lots – Support for green infrastructure and reduced pavement in the Village Center
Takeaways • Village Center – More realistic recommendations than 2004 Kent State Plan – Capitalize on development opportunities – Consider zoning revisions and design review – Enhance pedestrian connectivity and access
