TRIALS The reason Spiritual Warfare exists in your life is because you are made in the image of God and you are becoming more and more like God.
TRIALS of Adam & Eve Genesis 3:1 The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the L ORD God had made. One day he asked the woman, “ Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”
TRIALS of Adam & Eve 2 “Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,” the woman replied. 3 “It’s only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.’” 4 “You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman.

TRIALS of Adam & Eve So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too.
TRIALS of Adam & Eve 7 At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves. 11 “Who told you that you were naked?” the L ORD God asked. “Have you eaten from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat ?”
TRIALS of Adam & Eve 12 The man replied, “It was the woman you gave me who gave me the fruit, and I ate it.” 13 Then the L ORD God asked the woman, “What have you done?” “The serpent deceived me,” she replied. “That’s why I ate it .”

TRIALS of Jesus Luke 4:1 Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, 2 where he was tempted by the devil for forty days. Jesus ate nothing all that time and became very hungry. 3 Then the devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become a loaf of bread .”

TRIALS of Jesus 8 Jesus replied, “The Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’” [Deuteronomy 6:13]

TRIALS of Jesus 9 Then the devil took him to Jerusalem, to the highest point of the Temple, and said, “If you are the Son of God, jump off! 10 For the Scriptures say, ‘He will order his angels to protect and guard you. 11 And they will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.’” [Psalm 91:11 - 12]
TRIALS of Jesus 12 Jesus responded, “The Scriptures also say, ‘You must not test the Lord your God.’” [Deuteronomy 6:16]
JESUS’ TRIUMPH: Trusting, Not Testing
TRIALS of Jesus 13 When the devil had finished tempting Jesus, he left him until the next opportunity came.
TRIALS of Jesus 14 Then Jesus returned to Galilee, filled with the Holy Spirit’s power. Reports about him spread quickly through the whole region. 15 He taught regularly in their synagogues and was praised by everyone.
