Hemorrhoid Cream What is it? Dr. T’s Hemorrhoid Cream is a potent anti – inflammatory and vasoconstrictor formula created to address the uncomfortable, painful and often embarrassing aspects of hemorrhoids. Arnica Montana Applied to the skin as a cream, ointment, liniment, salve, or tincture, arnica has been used to soothe muscle aches, reduce inflammation, and heal wounds. It is commonly used for injuries such as sprains and bruises. More recent studies suggest it may also be helpful in the treatment of burns.
Hamamelis Virginica (Witch Hazel) Witch Hazel when used for hemorrhoid treatment, is normally in the form of a topical astringent. It causes inflamed tissues to decrease in size and cool, while making the blood vessels shrink. Witch Hazel also has antibacterial properties that help keep hemorrhoids from getting infected. Its medical properties come from tannins and flavonoids.
Aesculus hippocastanun leaf (Horse Chestnut) The aescin (escin) extract is used for its venotonic effect, vascular protection, anti- inflammatory and free radical scavenging properties.
Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) One of the many health claims attributed to ginger is its purported ability to decrease inflammation, swelling, and pain. [6]-gingerol (Young et al. 2005), a dried ginger extract, and a dried gingerol-enriched extract (Minghetti et al. 2007) were each reported to exhibit analgesic and potent anti-inflammatory effects.
Matricaria Recutita extract (Chamomile) Chamomile has anti-inflammatory properties, alleviates irritated tissues, reduces skin redness and itching, skin refresher and sedative.
