VISION Northwest Indiana drives its vibrant and inclusive communities by creating the most dynamic economic environment of the Midwest, fueled by innovation, diversity, and talent.
STRATEGIC FRAMEWORK Business Development Goal 1: Promote robust and sustainable growth by engaging in a proactive, economic development program that supports & Marketing business retention, expansion, creation, and attraction. Entrepreneurship & Goal 2: Foster robust entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems Innovation to propel future economic growth. Goal 3: Ensure that Northwest Indiana’s infrastructure meets the Infrastructure needs of a 21st-century economy. Goal 4: Expand the talent assets of Northwest Indiana and Talent strengthen connections to the region’s employers. Goal 5: create the amenities and places that enhance Northwest Placemaking Indiana’s appeal to diverse groups of people.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & MARKETING • Coordinate business attraction and marketing campaign between Forum, LEDOs and IEDC (1.4.1) • 20 Trips in 2019 with an additional 7 scheduled for early 2020 • Over 300 meetings with site consultants, brokers and companies • Building Target Sector Marketing • Agri-value Chain Complete • Advanced Mfg, TDL, IT • Increase collaborative business retention and expansion (BR&E) efforts across the region (1.7) • July 2019 all LEDOs subscribed to Executive Pulse • August 2019 Executive Pulse Training • Continuing to measure outcomes
