July Primary Runoff Elections Governor Greg Abbott issued a proclamation postponing the Runoff Primary Elections until July 14, 2020. • In-person voting and voting by mail will both be available for these elections. • A race where a candidate did not receive 50% plus 1 vote will be eligible for the runoff election. • Voters may only vote in one party’s primary election in a calendar year. So, if you voted in the Republican Primary in March you must vote in the Republican Primary in July. If you voted in the Democratic Primary in March, you must vote in the Democratic Primary in July. • Voters who did not vote in the Primary in March must choose which of the two parties runoff election they wish to participate in.

You may vote early by-mail if you are registered to vote and meet one of the following criteria: • Away from the county of residence on Election Day and during the early voting period; • Sick or disabled • 65 years of age or older on Election Day • Confined in jail, but eligible to vote

We’re supporting our poll workers in a variety of new ways Personal Protective Equipment Poll workers will be provided with protective face shields, gloves, and hand sanitizer. Virtual Training Options Training for poll workers will be available virtually, so that election workers may access the training from their home.
