The Staff Team • The staff team for the stay and play sessions will be co- ordinated by 2 qualified pre-school practitioners and a ratio of 1.4 in the 2 year old class. • Qualifications
Structure of Stay and Play The stay and play is for parents or carers and their children This will be supported by 2 qualified pre–school practitioners The morning will follow a structure of free play including some adult led activities, a story, a healthy snack and the song sack The practitioners alongside the parents observe the children and keep a journal of their time at stay and play It is a time for parents to engage with each other and the practitioners
The Golden Rules While at Stay and Play, parents are responsible for their children, practitioners will facilitate, support and provide experiences for you and your child. Practitioners and parents will be positive role models, bad language or abusive behaviour, will not be tolerated. Disputes between children should be handled sensitively and support will be given by practitioners if necessary. Please respect our environment, resources and equipment and positively encourage your child to do so. A healthy snack will be provided during the session for both children and parents, other food and drink is not permitted. Issues raised at the session may be of a personal nature and must be treated with confidentiality. Mobile phones must be placed in the box provided for the duration of the session.

Housekeeping Start Dates Stay and play will commence 12th September and run on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday Mornings from 9.15 – 11.15 You will be offered one morning each week and we ask that you commit to the first 6 weeks and if you wish to finish after this time, we will require 2 weeks notice to enable us to offer the place to someone else. The cost of each session is £5.50, we ask that this is paid by standing order or in advance of each block of sessions. Payment is also required if your child is ill or on holiday.
The 2 year old class will commence in January and will run on Monday and Thursday from 9.00-11.30 instead of Stay and play . Stay and Play will then continue on Wednesday and Friday. We will require at least 8 children in order to start the class. All children must attend 2 sessions. The cost of each session is £11.50. This is to be paid by standing order or if you are eligible by the 2 year old grant.
