Current Graduation Requirements- Must earn a minimum of 46 credits (1 credit = 1 class) in grades 9-12 Must take 6 credits each semester/ 12 credits per year Grade 10- MCA Science & MCA Reading Grade 11- MCA Math
English Requirements 9th Grade- English 9A and 9B 10th Grade- English 10A and 10B(American Literature) 11th & 12th Grade- Required Courses: Pick one course from Writing I category & one course from World Lit category Elective Courses: Select two courses from the following three categories: Writing II, Modern Literature, and Performance. To meet the requirement, courses cannot be from the same category. *Please speak to your English teacher for additional clarification

PSEO- Post Secondary Enrollment Options Taking college classes at a college campus (each college has their own specific requirements, but in gener the following requirements are true) 10th Grade- Score in the top 90% on ACT AND be in the top 10% of class/ Preference seating to Juniors and Seniors 11th Grade-be in top 1/3 of class, or 3.3 GPA, or 24 Act with a 2.7 minimum GPA. CANNOT be in bottom 1/4 of class 12th Grade- be in top 1/2 of class, or 3.0 GPA, or 21 ACT with 2.7 minimum GPA. CANNOT be in bottom 1/4 of class

Flexible Scheduling Health/Lunch-A semester course taught over the lunch hour (25 minutes) for the entire school year instead of a Resource class. Early Bird Classes-Marked as “E” after course number in book. Night Classes-Marked as “N” after course number in book. Year Long Classes-Marked as “Y” after course number in book.
Changes for 2020-2021 Some Course additions and Name Changes, please refer to the registration manual (in your Gmail) **If a course does not show up in Infinite Campus, it is likely that the course is not offered in 2020-2021. Please double check with a counselor.

Course Selection- Rigor Know yourself- play to your strengths ❖ You do not win a prize for having the hardest schedule ❖ It’s ok to not take any Honors/AP/PSEO/CIS courses-that does not mean you ❖ are not smart It’s ok to only take 1 or 2 Honors/AP/PSEO/CIS courses ❖ Sometimes students add too much PRESSURE to themselves ❖ Find the RIGHT BALANCE for you- trust us! ❖
