MIDWINTER LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE FEBRUARY 5-6, 2015 PRESCOTT RESORT AND CONFERENCE CENTER PRESCOTT, AZ General Information The Association Career Technical Education of Arizona (ACTEAZ) and ACOVA invite you to participate in the 2015 Annual Mid-Winter Leadership Conference which will be held at the Prescott Resort and Conference Center in Prescott, Arizona. Some topics to consider for Mid-Winter Call for Presentations are: * Leadership Skills for CTE and Educational Leaders * CTE Advocacy, including latest Effectiveness Data & Research * Critical CTE and Educational Issues * How to Interpret Data and Write Perkins Goals * How to Build Future CTE Leaders from within the Ranks of your District * How to Bring Under-Achieving Personnel up to Par * How to Organize Your Time to get Everything Accomplished * Best Practices * Programs of Study and Post-Secondary Articulation * ACTEAZ Premier Series * AZ College and Career Ready Standards * Data and Using Assessments to Drive Instruction * Scholarships and Awards Writing Tips * Other: Please complete below Potential presenters should read ALL of this information before submitting a proposal. What are the dates of the conference? 2015 Annual Mid-Winter Conference will be held, February 5-6, 2015. What is the deadline to submit a proposal? All proposals must be submitted before December 12, 2014. How are proposals selected? All proposals are peer-reviewed. Final decisions will be made by January 5, 2015. How will you know if your presentation has been accepted? Submitters will be notified of the status of their proposal via e-mail by January 6, 2015. What audio visual equipment is provided? All meeting rooms are set with a screen and LCD projector. Laptop Computers are NOT provided. All meetings are set in roundtable format . What are the presentation formats: Roundtable.

  2. Number of copies of materials needed: We request that presenters bring enough hand-outs and materials for 40 participants. What do I need to know to submit a proposal? All presentations are one hour (1) in length and will be Thursday afternoon or Friday morning. Please submit a proposal for yourself only. Please only submit a proposal if you can present at any time during the Conference. (Thursday and Friday) Please do not use acronyms, initials or CAPS in your name, affiliation, address, title or description. ACTEAZ/ACOVA reserves the right to edit presentation titles and descriptions for length and content. The lead speaker is responsible for sharing conference information with all co-presenters. Accepted speakers and co-speakers are responsible for ALL Conference-related expenses, including, travel, lodging and meals. Selling or promoting products or services is NOT allowed in presentations.
