FURTHER EDUCATION PROGRAMMES HIGHER EDUCATION PROGRAMMES Usually higher education is only for students aged 18 or No programme fees, the 16-18 years old by over once they have government fully funds 31st August 2018 completed A-levels or level 3 your study programme qualifications (not including Access to HE) It's possible that you won't need to pay any programme Programme fees vary from fees if one of the following £4,625 to £6,175 depending circumstances applies: on the 19-23 years old 1. You're studying a level 1 programme you choose to by qualification follow. Full tuition fees are 2. You're studying your first 31st August 2018 available from full level 2 or 3 qualification 3.   4. TRAINEESHIPS WHAT ARE TRAINEESHIPS? Traineeships are really simple:  A training programme delivered by us - focusing on the skills, attitudes and behaviours employers look for.  Help with your English and maths, if you need it.  A work experience placement of around 3-6 weeks in a business.  An exit interview from your work placement. WHO ARE THEY FOR? Anybody aged 16-24 who would benefit from some help to get into work and on with their career.

  5. APPRENTICESHIPS WHAT IS AN APPRENTICESHIP?  An apprenticeship is a real job, with training. You will be employed and get paid.  Your employer will then give you time to study, and you'll work with a tutor to gain the skills and knowledge you need to achieve a nationally recognised qualification.  You'll even get paid for the time you are studying. WHAT CAN I DO AN APPRENTICESHIP IN?  Apprenticeships are available in a wide range of jobs and companies, not just the traditional sectors you probably think of.  Hart Learning and Development offer apprenticeships in everything from digital marketing to business to healthcare.  You can do an apprenticeship at different levels, from GCSE equivalent right through to degree level.  Take a look at our vacancies page at www.hartld.co.uk to see what apprenticeships are available at the moment.  We meet new employers every day who are looking for an apprentices. Make sure you regularly check the vacancy page or speak to one of the team about what you are interested in and they’ll keep you posted if something comes up which you might be interested in.

HIGHER EDUCATION  We offer a wide range of higher education programmes at levels 4 through 6.  Our Extended and Foundation Degrees are validated by the University of Hertfordshire.  Students have full access to facilities and resources at both NHC and the University of Hertfordshire.  Foundation Degree - Two Year Programme.  Full-time mode: 8 modules per year over 2 semesters AB (4,4)  Part-time mode: 8 modules per year over 3 semesters - ABC (3,3,2)  16 modules over the 2 years.

ACCOMMODATION FOR HE STUDENTS HALLS OF RESIDENCE – UH  Once applicants receive their offer of a place from UH they will be able to apply for accommodation.  2 blocks provide accommodation for up to 21 HE students.  The bathrooms, kitchen and laundry facilities are shared between all residents along with a communal lounge.  Self-catering  Single rooms with bills and laundry facilities included  £52.75 per week  12 weeks rent of £600 is required to secure your accommodation plus a referral letter from the college.
