  26. Housing & Environmental Health Beverly C. Samuel serves as a National Program Leader in the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture’s Division of Family & Consumer Sciences. She provides national leadership for the research, extension, and education functions of NIFA’s housing and environmental health portfolio. This includes strategic management of projects related to housing, health, safety, aging in place, disasters, technologies for occupational health, and energy efficiency to improve the quality of life and prosperity in rural America.
