  1. Free Online Workshops, Presentations with headspace Armadale 2020 What is headspace Armadale offering the community in 2020? As well as support services offered through the centre, headspace Armadale can also support the community through a range of educational activities. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have had to alter our in-person community engagements to online based interactions. These include:  Online presentations and workshops for young people aged 12-25 in s chools, TAFE’s, University and community programs  Social media resources for School Social Media Platforms  Online Factsheets  Interactive online question box for workshop participants  Online Follow-up Worksheets  Online Workshops and Presentations headspace online workshops and presentations usually go for approx. 30 minutes and include a range of practical evidence based content, interactive activities and videos. Workshops/ presentations are run through the Zoom platform. A link will be provided upon booking confirmation. The link is used to access the workshop/ presentation at the confirmed booking time. Online workshops can be done either at home or within the classroom. If you are receiving a workshop within the classroom, we ask you get in touch with your IT Department to assist with set up requirements at least 15 minutes before the workshop takes place. Presentations can be tailored for young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people. All of our presenters use safe and inclusive language and are happy to discuss any specific concerns or requests you may have when booking a presentation. headspace workshops work best with groups of 5-30 so those participating can ask questions and get fully involved in online activities. We are happy to consider bigger groups on a case-by-case basis. If the group is larger than 30 participants, we may be able to pre-record the presentation for the group. Topics for young people currently include:  Meet headspace and Intro to Mental Health  Bullying and Cyber Safety  Exam Stress and Coping  Feed Your Mind (Healthy Eating and Mental Health) Please see the attached page for an overview of the content of these workshops. Is there a cost attached? No. These workshops are free and include resources . headspace Armadale is operated by Arche Health Ltd. All headspace centres are funded by the Australian Government Department of Health. Administration of funding is carried out by the headspace centre’s local Primary Health Network, in this case, Perth South (WA Primary Health Alliance Ltd).

  2. How do I book? If you would like to book and online workshop, have any specific requests or would like more information please contact us on 9393 0300 or email chanell.moollan@headspacearmadale.com.au. Please Note: There is often a high demand for headspace Armadale’s free workshops. To ensure you have the best chance of booking your preferred date please provide as much notice as possible. What happens next? After you’ve contacted the Community Engagement Team you will receive a response within approx. 3 working days. Once your booking has been confirmed you will receive email confirmation with the set time and date and Zoom link to the online workshop. On the day of the workshop or activity headspace Armadale team member with the person who has booked the workshop 15 minutes prior to the workshop for sound and video checks.
