EFFECTIVE PRAISE PRIME • Effective Praise and Active Constructive Responding (ACR) help to build Connection. • Effective Praise identifies what worked and creates winning streaks. • You can strengthen your relationships by responding actively and constructively to others’ positive experiences.

EFFECTIVE PRAISE PRIME • When someone we care about fails, underperforms, or struggles, we don’t say, “Man, you are dumb as a rock.” • Effective criticism names the process, strategy, or behavior that led to the problem (e.g., “You aren’t keeping your arm level”) and how to correct it.

EFFECTIVE PRAISE PRIME • When you recognize someone and offer praise, name the specific strategy, effort, or skill that led to the good outcome. It just takes another sentence. • For example: o "That's outstanding shooting, PFC Williams. I've seen you putting in extra work, reinforcing the fundamentals. I saw your movement today, and it looked like you were being more deliberate when you pointed, posted, and sprawled than during the last qualification.” • Naming strategy does three things: o Demonstrates you were really watching o Demonstrates authenticity o Enables winning streaks
