Our Client “WFYI Public Media empowers, educates, entertains, and connects our ● community through impactful journalism, inspiring stories and lifelong learning.” Located downtown Indy only 15 minutes from Butler’s campus ● WFYI produces radio, television, movies, and many other types of media ● production
Our Project: Eva’s Story Help maintain and preserve a Holocaust survivor ● named Eva’s story She had a profound impact on the world as a leading ● advocate for justice for those (especially twins) who were tested and abused in these camps Helped to bring a first person perspective to the ● horrors of concentration camps during WWII Brought education about that time in history to ● places around the world, but specifically in Indiana
Our End Goal for the Semester Make a virtual garden that lives on a WFYI website that allows ● users to create and plant flowers with a message about how Eva’s story has affected them and their lives Make it so other people’s flowers are visible to users ○ Sharing capability to spread the word about Eva’s story and this ● garden project Roll this out along with the 75 th anniversary of the liberation ● from Auschwitz

Future Recommendations Fix scaling issues on the HTML form ● Integrate a search bar in order to lookup past flower and ● remove hover feature Add filters to eliminate language and anti-Semitic ● comments on flower messages Add a variety of flower colors and options to choose from ● Sharing capabilities for social media platforms ●
