REOPENING GUIDANCE REOPENING REQUIREMENTS ▪ Per the County of San Diego Public Health Order, before businesses/organizations reopen, they must fill out and implement the Safe Reopening Plan , share it with their employees, display it where customers and visitors can see it, and follow state guidelines. ▪ Although a requirement, the Safe Reopening Plan does not need to be submitted to the County of San Diego for monitoring purposes. S TATE UPDATE ON INCREASING HOUSE OF WORSHIP CAPACITY ▪ After the 21-day mark, the State of CA has not increased capacity limits for houses of worship regarding indoor services. ▪ However, there is no longer a capacity limit for outdoor worship services. ➢ Physical distancing and facial covering guidelines should still be followed. STATE SAYS “I DO” TO WEDDINGS ▪ The state has lifted its restriction on weddings, and they can now occur provided they follow the state guidance. ▪ Indoor weddings are not to exceed 25 percent of a facility’s capacity or 100 people (whichever is less) and participants must wear a face covering and maintain physical distancing. STATE SAYS “I DO” TO WEDDINGS ▪ Outdoor services, consider appropriate limitations on outdoor attendance capacities, factoring their jurisdiction's key COVID-19 health indicators. At a minimum, outdoor attendance should be limited naturally through implementation of strict physical distancing measures of a minimum of six feet between attendees from different households. ▪ Receptions: not permitted at this time — indoors or outdoors. OUTDOOR SERVICES ▪ Capacity limits on outdoor worship services has been lifted. ▪ At a minimum, outdoor attendance should be limited naturally through implementation of strict physical distancing measures of a minimum of six feet between attendees from different households, in addition to other relevant protocols within The CDPH Guidance for Places of Worship. H OUSE OF WORSHIP OPENINGS Houses of worship may resume services, but they must implement a variety ▪ of safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. All must complete and post the County’s Safe Reopening Plan before opening. Given the high risk of this activity, outdoor ceremonies are encouraged and ▪ vulnerable members of the population (over 65 years old, compromised immune system or underlying condition) are strongly encouraged to participate through streaming or some other form of remote technology. Houses of worship must limit attendance to 25% of capacity, or 100 people, ▪ whichever of the two is less. S CHOOL A CTIVITIES ▪ Per the June 16th County of San Diego Public Health Order, guidance relating to school reopening only refers to holding classes and conducting school business operations. ▪ Drive-in or Drive-Thru Graduation celebrations are allowed. ▪ Graduation celebrations held in either indoor or outdoor venues are not allowed.
