Provider Medicaid ID • ODM’s Provider Medicaid ID on file with MITS is required during Training Registration for Sandata EVV credentials • Approximately 55% of providers who have completed training registered with the incorrect Medicaid ID • Outreach workstream currently brainstorming ideas • Bi-weekly communication to those providers who have not completed training started 5/20 » Including the 55% of those providers who completed training with incorrect Medicaid ID 6

Moving From DBU To Billing In Units 10
When A Provider Moves to Billing In Units • All services that will be billed as HPC in 15 minute units must be documented in EVV. • Options if a device isn’t available » EVV app on a device owned by the provider or caregiver » Telephony » Manual Visit 11
When To Order A Device • Services will be billed in units going forward. • The switch to unit billing is expected to happen frequently going forward. • If the provider chooses to use the app on a device owned by the provider or the direct care worker, a device does not need to be ordered. 12

When the Device/App Won’t Be Used 24
Data Collection In The EVV System • The preferred data collection options are the Sandata device and the app on a device owned by the provider or caregiver. • Telephony should be used whenever possible if neither the device nor the app are available. • Manual visit entry is a second alternative for visit entry. 25
When An Alternative Method Will Be Used • The device is missing, broken or not charged • Neither the device nor the app can be used to meet the individual’s needs. • The individual refuses to use the device or app. 26
EVV and the Service Plan • Documentation should be in the service plan and related documentation • When neither the device nor the app will be used » What will the primary method of data collection be? » Why won’t the device or app be used? • When the individual won’t provide verification of services (except DODD waiver services) » Who will provide voice or signature verification 27
PCG and EVV Data • ODM will analyze EVV data to establish guidelines. • Guidelines for reviewing EVV data and establishing findings will be shared with PCG. • ODM will monitor PCG activity to ensure guidelines are followed. 28

Phase 2 Updates • Feedback from providers week of 5/6 » Telephony (TVV) » Service code confusion • How’s it going today? » First Alt. EVV agency is getting converted to P2 configuration this week » Support has been running smoothly » Phase 2 claims edits will not be in place for additional Phase 2 payers until 8/5 » Over 500 visits for Non-Agency providers for Phase 2, only a few dozen in Incomplete Status » Existing EVV providers are getting used to the system with each day » Resources on the ODM EVV webpage 30

EVV and Claims • Work to update the analysis for payment rates is underway • Preliminary results show improvement • We will share final analysis results this summer. 32
Education and Outreach Efforts • 2019 education and outreach focus to date has been on: » Helping providers understand why 3611 EVV edits might occur » Helping providers understand the claims process with EVV » Preparing providers for Phase 2 » Helping providers navigate Alternate EVV certification and re- certification for Phase 2 33
Multiple Ways Used to Communicate Email 10 unique communications have been sent out on focused topics, in addition to all other communication methods. Webinars Conducted 4 webinars on 2 topics. 3 more webinars about to be conducted. 428 Providers have attended, so far. ODM EVV Team has offered through newsletters One-on-one and emails to do one-on-one EVV system checks with providers for compliance. 34
Multiple Ways Used to Communicate IVR Text and Call campaigns Conducted 4 separate text and call campaigns to offer assistance in Phase 1 compliance and to notify providers of Phase 2 updates. 5 Monthly Newsletters have gone out with Monthly Newsletters educational information for providers. Worked with associations to get feedback on educational topics Association Partnerships opportunities. 35

Post Pay and Review • Letter format has been finalized • Providers will begin receiving the letters by the end of June • Currently there are 10 providers scheduled to receive these letters. 37
