Why do we vaccinate? • Can give life-long immunity against some severe and life-threatening diseases • One of the most successful and cost-effective interventions to improve health outcomes • One of the only medicines that work at both individual and community levels

Joint immunisation plan for Enfield • Developed following a workshop with stakeholders in summer 2019 • Shared plan across NHS England, Enfield CCG, Barnet Enfield & Haringey MH Trust and Enfield Council • Key areas include primary care, schools, early years settings, commissioning and communications
Key actions and successes • Immunisation training rolled out in Early Years settings • Immunisation policies implemented in Early Years settings • Communication with Early Years settings, primary schools and foster parents about flu vaccination • Working with health visiting teams to embed flu vaccination within their protocols • Positive feedback from school nurses received regarding immunisation consent rates
