Main Purpose of the Article  Define the correlation between the musical abilities and intelligence of the elementary school children.

The Article Is  Peer-reviewed, credible, properly formatted.  Refers to the topic that is timely for the modern society.  Uses scientific method of the hypothesis testing that corresponds to four steps marked out by Santrock: problem conceptualization, data collection, data analysis and drawing conclusions.

Music Is Important in Human Life  It is a way of individual’s self -fulfillment.  It contributes to the person’s awareness, reasoning, perception and adjustment.  It contributes to the psychological development on the early stages of life.

Musical Abilities Can Influence  The non-verbal IQ of the boys;  Spelling performance;  Reading speed.

The Findings Can be Used  Further researches.  Parental upbringing.  School studies.  New pedagogical methods.

The Further Studies  The influence of playing on the musical instrument.  The influence of singing.  Explain the causal relations between the musical education and intelligence.

Conclusion  The results of the research represent the correlation between the children’s music education and cognitive abilities.  There exists a connection between musical abilities and speaking.  There exists a connection between musical abilities and reading.  There exists a connection between the musical abilities and non-verbal IQ.
