  2. Customer Requirements/Product Selection The target audience for HTPC is children aged 10-12. Specifically, these will be ● children just getting interested in computers and how they work/how to build one. ● We chose this product because building computers is something our whole group is interested in and would feel is a helpful topic to teach to others.

  3. Conceptual Design We wanted to make a user-friendly website that appealed to the eyes of children. ● The website should be aesthetically pleasing, but not overwhelming to the viewer. ● ● An example of what an image from the website would look like is below.

  4. Actual Design We decided to give the webapp a 90s feel to it. This flows with the simplicity of ● the app and is aesthetically pleasing to our target audience. ● Some sample screenshots of the actual webapp are below.

  5. Marketing Video

  6. Customer Feedback/Results One college student and one child, aged 11, tested the game and were asked their thoughts. The college student said “It is simple but helpful, and should do well with kids.” The child said it was “Fun and colorful, but could be longer.”

  7. Cost Estimates The total cost to actually manufacture the product is absolutely zero. ● The webapp is all programmed by us, and it only needs to be programmed once ● so there is no labor cost. We are hosting the webapp on a local server, which is free for us to use, so there ● is also no cost there. If we ever were to sell the product for commercial use, we would most likely sell it ● for $5 per unit. This is a fair price for a simple but efficient webapp on basic PC knowledge. We could also slightly lower the price, because we will make profit no matter what price we sell it at.

  8. Time Estimates The total time spent to prepare the product to be ready for presentation: 25 hours ● This includes all of the preparation and brainstorming put into idealizing the ● product, and also the making of the actual product itself. This product is very efficient for mass production, because we only have to make ● it once. Once the product is fully ready to go, it can be bought and sold as much as the market sees fit. ● This would cause the time to effectively produce one unit of HTPC (after programming it) to be instantaneous.

  9. Summary HTPC is a fun, kid-friendly app that helps teach kids about PCs, which is a very useful skill in today’s technological society. In the future, we should be able to upgrade the quality of the webapp, such as upgrading the aesthetics, or giving a more in-depth look at a PC. We are the tomorrow. We are HTPC.
